Comprehensive Treatment for Industrial Wastewater

Our systems are based on various biological, chemical, and physical processes. The systems are designed to meet regulatory requirements as well as the specific needs of different industries to reduce environmental impact and water consumption. In addition to water treatment, the systems can also be designed to recover energy and various nutrients.

Biological Water Treatment

Oxygen and bacteria form the basis of a natural biological process to reduce nitrogen and organic material. There are several variations, but mainly the technique is divided into aerobic or anaerobic.

Chemical Water Treatment

Chemical water treatment typically involves the steps of precipitation, neutralization, flocculation, sedimentation, or flotation. The process causes dissolved substances in the water to precipitate and then aggregate into a form that sediments or floats. Although the foundation is always the same, the process is often designed based on laboratory tests. Chemical treatment is very common in industry and is often the first process in a system.

Physical Water Treatment

Separation and adsorption are some of the oldest and most well-known techniques for water purification. In modern water treatment, these techniques are used both as standalone systems and as part of more complex processes. The most well-known filter media are sand and activated carbon, but today there are a variety of filter media that are selective for certain substances. Physical treatment is primarily characterized by robust constructions with high operational reliability.

How We Can Help

Enwa supports customers throughout the entire wastewater lifecycle with tailored, high-performance solutions that transform wastewater challenges into resource opportunities.

Site Assessments and Customized Treatment

We start with site assessments, detailed water and load characterizations, and pilot tests to define reliable and cost-effective goals for discharge, reuse, or ZLD. Based on this, we design and deliver integrated treatment systems that combine robust pretreatment (screening, grit removal, oil separation, coagulation/flocculation, flotation), biological processes (activated sludge, SBR, MBBR, membrane bioreactors), and tertiary polishing (filtration, nutrient removal, UV/chlorine disinfection, GAC, AOP, UF/NF/RO, EDI) to meet specific legal requirements and reuse demands.

Turnkey Systems & Process Optimization

Our offerings include modular and customized turn-key plants, automation and online monitoring, energy optimization (efficient aeration, heat recovery, biogas production from anaerobic digestion), sludge management and dewatering, as well as concentrate or brine handling (evaporation, ZLD alternatives). For industrial flows, we provide targeted pretreatment and hybrid physical-chemical solutions to protect downstream units and maximize recovery.

Operational Support & Sustainability

Enwa also provides full operational support: commissioning, validation, preventive maintenance, supply of consumables, and performance optimization services to ensure uptime, regulatory compliance, and minimal lifecycle costs. By combining resource recovery, modern control strategies, and proven technology, we help customers reduce freshwater use and emissions, recover energy and nutrients, lower operating costs, and achieve resilient and sustainable wastewater management.
