About the Customer
Capacity Expansion – Water Quality Challenges
A food industry in the southern part of Sweden needed to expand its wastewater treatment capacity. Increasing production volumes put pressure on the existing system, while the municipal treatment plant required higher water quality and reliable online reporting. Meeting demanding discharge values, such as TOC, was particularly challenging. At the same time, the customer wanted a cost-efficient solution without the need to construct a new building.
Our Delivery
Tailored Design Backed by Expertise
Enwa Water Technology, in close cooperation with EnviroChemie within the Enviro Water Group, designed and delivered an external wastewater treatment plant tailored to the customer’s needs. Detailed water analyses from EnviroChemie’s laboratory formed the basis for the treatment concept.
Compact and Efficient Treatment Process
The plant consists of a combination of large process tanks and container-based modules, making installation faster, more compact, and more economical. The treatment steps include fine screening, pH balancing, flotation, and a biological reactor system. Together, these processes secure that the water meets the municipal authority’s requirements.
Automated Monitoring and Reliable Reporting
A modern control system monitors all critical parameters and automatically adjusts the process when needed, ensuring stable operation. With the support of our instrumentation partner, the online monitoring equipment was adapted to the site’s conditions, enabling immediate and reliable reporting after startup.
Flexible, Scalable, and Cost-Effective Solution
The customer now benefits from a flexible and scalable wastewater treatment solution that not only supports their production growth but also ensures long-term compliance with environmental standards. By choosing a container-based approach, they avoided large construction costs and gained a faster, more efficient path to a sustainable operation.
