A Leading European Cruise Line

TUI Cruises is a cruise line based in Germany. It was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between the German tourism company TUI AG and the American cruise line operator Royal Caribbean Group, each of which owns a 50% stake in the company.

EnwaMatic® Across the Fleet

Over the past decade, Enwa Water Technology has supplied EnwaMatic systems to TUI Cruises, one of Europe’s leading cruise lines. The first installation was made on Mein Schiff 5 about ten years ago. Since then, seven of the company’s nine vessels have been equipped with EnwaMatic – and the eighth is now being fitted at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.

Our Delivery – EnwaMatic®

Sustainable, Maintenance-Free Water Treatment

By installing EnwaMatic, TUI Cruises has transitioned to a sustainable and maintenance-friendly method of water treatment in its HVAC systems (air conditioning) across its fleet. The solution eliminates the need for chemicals while ensuring stable operation and consistent cooling performance. For the crew, it also means a safer workplace with reduced handling of hazardous materials.

Reduced Environmental Impact

Avoiding the transport and handling of chemicals has not only simplified operations but also reduced environmental impact – fully aligned with the cruise line’s sustainability goals.

Replacing Chemicals with Safer Operations

Previously, water treatment in the HVAC system was carried out through chemical dosing in the cooling water – a proven method but associated with several drawbacks. Over- or underdosing is common and can lead to reduced energy efficiency and increased wear. In addition, handling hazardous chemicals involves higher risks, extra costs, and the need for protective equipment for the crew.
