Overall Objective\u00a0<\/h2>

A good and safe work environment is a key strategic issue for\u00a0Enwa\u00a0Water Technology\u00a0[Enwa]. Work\u00a0environmental\u00a0efforts must be an integrated and natural part of the company\u2019s overall operations, meaning that work environment matters should be addressed alongside everyday issues. A fundamental principle is to prevent ill health and injuries caused by work. Achieving efficiency and quality in our work environment efforts is a profitable investment for the future, where high work motivation and low absenteeism are the direct benefits. We have zero tolerance for offensive treatment, bullying, harassment, and hazing.\u00a0<\/p>

The minimum requirement is to comply with applicable work environment legislation, but we should constantly strive for a higher standard. Work environmental efforts cover all activities, including equipment and premises as well as the way work is led and organized. This means that we actively work to minimize risks of occupational injuries, accidents, and incidents, and we engage in activities that promote employees\u2019 health, job satisfaction, and efficiency.<\/p>

Work environmental efforts are a continuous process of ongoing improvements and should result in an annual review according to the following points:\u00a0<\/p>

            Responsibility\u00a0<\/h2>

            As an employer, we have the primary responsibility for the work environment and are obliged to take all necessary measures to create\u00a0a good work\u00a0environment and prevent risks of ill health and accidents.\u00a0<\/p>

            The CEO has\u00a0overall\u00a0responsibility and must ensure that work\u00a0environmental\u00a0efforts are carried out effectively by delegating responsibility and authority throughout the organization.\u00a0<\/p>

            All managers\u00a0are responsible for\u00a0identifying\u00a0any potentially hazardous work tasks.\u00a0<\/p>

            All employees have a responsibility to\u00a0participate\u00a0in work environment efforts, such as following safety regulations and pointing out risks or deficiencies in the work environment.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            Guidelines\u00a0<\/h2>

            To achieve our overall\u00a0objectives, the following applies:\u00a0<\/p>

            • The shared work environment and future are everyone\u2019s concern \u2013 we share responsibility for how these issues are handled. Employee involvement is therefore a prerequisite for effective work environment efforts, even though managers have leadership responsibility.\u00a0<\/li>
            • All new employees and those changing jobs\/workplaces must receive\u00a0appropriate introduction.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Quick and early measures must be taken in case of deficiencies\/problems, for example in connection with rehabilitation needs and crisis situations.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Gender equality issues must be highlighted and raised awareness.\u00a0<\/li>
            • No employee should be subjected to offensive treatment such as bullying, psychological violence, or harassment.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Work environment considerations must be\u00a0taken into account\u00a0when\u00a0purchasing\u00a0office supplies and other equipment.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Employees should be able to combine work life with family life and leisure.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Employees should have the opportunity to\u00a0participate\u00a0in the design of their work situation and in change and development work related to their job.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Employees should have the opportunity for variety in work, social contact, and collaboration with other colleagues.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Expert knowledge should be consulted when needed.\u00a0

              Reporting Procedures\u00a0<\/h2>

              Incidents and work environment problems must be reported\u00a0immediately\u00a0to a manager or HR and in our deviation system.\u00a0<\/p>

              Sensitive work environment matters are handled confidentially together with the immediate manager or HR.\u00a0<\/p>

              All reports are investigated promptly and confidentially.\u00a0

              <\/p>

              Implementation of the Work Environment Policy\u00a0<\/h2>

              Enwa\u00a0will incorporate the work environment plan into annual guidelines (annual cycle) to ensure budget allocations and implementation. Follow-up and evaluation are carried out by the chairperson of the safety committee reporting to the CEO. The CEO then informs the management team of decisions made.\u00a0<\/p>

              Our work environment policy must be reviewed annually and revised as needed.\u00a0<\/p>
